

Somatic Movement Therapy
Private sessions in somatic movement therapy can be conducted in person or via Zoom. In-person sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs. We work together to combine active movement with hands-on guidance, helping you move more easily and improve your range of motion. I will show you how to engage your core muscles for improved joint alignment and stability, as well as to enhance muscular balance.

Neuromuscular patterning to address stubborn posture and movement patterns that contribute to pain and discomfort

Core muscle activation to enhance overall alignment, balance, body awareness and control, and general health.

Functional joint motion to improve structural realignment and body awareness.

TIPS FOR ZOOM SETUP
You will need a space of at least 8 by 8 feet to move in,
preferably with a soft carpet or exercise mat to lie on.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

You should have a chair to sit on, ideally one with a flat seat for seated exercises. Kitchen chairs work well for this purpose. You will also need to hold onto the chair for balance during some of the standing exercises.​
During at least 10 minutes of each session, I'll have you lie on the floor
to observe you and provide feedback. To streamline this process, please ensure that you can easily adjust your camera during transitions in position so that I can see your whole body. If you organize your Zoom setup before the session,we’ll have more time to focus on what you want during the session.
